QA Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing user stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility.
  • Analyzing test results on user impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments.
  • Execute all levels of testing (Integration, System and Regression).
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
  • Interacting with clients/product development team to understand product requirements.
  • Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
  • Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
  • Provide all relevant support and documentation.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or similar discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Software Tester, with strong understanding of fundamentals.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • ISTQB certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
  • Experience in testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
  • Experience in Application performance testing
  • Export the test result in html file or MS Excel file
  • Good time-management skills, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible, reliable team-oriented work ethic and MUST have a positive CAN DO personality.
  • Must have worked in at least one live project from design to delivery stage.
